ABOUT ME
I am Emily Smith. When I was five years old, I told my parents that I wanted to be a real estate agent. Today, I have over twelve years of commercial real estate experience - two as a paralegal and over ten working in commercial real estate brokerage and portfolio management, which includes lease administration. I worked for CBRE and for Cushman & Wakefield, then known as Cassidy Turley. My clients have ranged from early-stage startups to Fortune 500 companies to nonprofits.
While I was a broker, I often heard that there is not a great solution for lease administration for companies who have portfolios of locations from two to a hundred. The "Big Three" real estate firms are too expensive, and the smaller firms are more focused on brokerage. In addition, client executive were frequently handling the internal oversight of major renovation and relocation projects, which required substantial amounts of their time in addition to their already full schedules.

Hi, I'm Emily.
I have an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in management. I also have an MA in English from Washington University in Saint Louis, and a BA from the University of Texas at Austin, where I graduated after three years and as a Phi Beta Kappa member.
I grew up in St. Louis and moved to Washington, DC, to work for the U.S. Poet Laureate before becoming a real estate broker. I recently returned to St. Louis, from where I can manage your leased portfolio less expensively than if I lived on a coast. I offer the experience and knowledge of negotiating and managing real estate leases all over the country, as well as internationally.
